Residents of Assin North have been urged by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to vote against James Gyakye Quayson in the impending by-election.

Voting for Mr. Quayson, according to him, would be a waste of time because he would probably be charged with perjury.

In an effort to increase support for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) candidate in the Assin North by-election slated for Tuesday, June 27, he made the comment.

Akufo-Addo emphasized the need of making educated judgments when addressing a sizable crowd of Assin North citizens.

The President was adamant, “We must exercise our right to vote responsibly.” “We shouldn’t back or vote for those who are embroiled in legal disputes that could ultimately land them in jail.
