Ayew was a vital component of the unbeatable team that won both the U20 FIFA World Cup and the U20 AFCON championships in 2009.

Additionally, he participated in two finals with the Black Stars (AFCON 2010 and AFCON 2015), however both times he lost.

The former Swansea City player claims that his sole objective is to help Ghana win a trophy as they get ready to compete in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

“To be honest, I don’t have any personal goals for myself. Since I joined the Black Stars, my only personal goal has been to help the team win a title, Ayew told the Graphic Sports.

“That’s my only goal, and I’ve come close a few times,” the speaker said (the 2010 AFCON and 2015 AFCON final).

“I won the Under-20 AFCON and Under-20 World Cup trophies, but my sole goal is to win a trophy while wearing a Black Stars jersey, any trophy I am capable of winning, whether it be an AFCON or a World Cup trophy. That is my aim, my goal, and the subject of my daily prayers and labours.
