The profile took a look at the ris of the ‘Kwaku the Traveller’ hitmaker from the slums of the Konongo Zongo to an internationally acclaimed global music icon!

As always, Black Sherif was calm, collected, calculating and eloquent in addressing the interview and the questions thrown at him.

Asked if he ever thought that he would hit it this big on the international stage during his early years in Konongo, the Ghanaian said he never imagined that in his wildest dreams.

According to him, there was even a time where he was making music in Konongo and no one in Accra even knew of him, so to imagine the entire world would come to know and acknowledge his existence is wild!

CNN praised the young Ghanaian for his ability to create captivating music and Black Sherif said his music is simply an extension of his emotions.

“When I’m crying I make music, when I’m happy I make music…” Blacko said.

The captivating interview has Ghanaians feeling proud of the young star and wishing him the best for the future.
