The Ghana Football Association together with the Ministry of Sports employs a system where the team is paid qualification bonus instead of the usual winning bonus.

With this system even if the team fails to win any of their three group game but miraculously manages to qualify to the next round, they get $30,000.

Previously, the winning bonus per a group game was $10,000 so they have combined the potential bonus for 3 wins in the group to give $30,000 as qualification bonus

So at the end of the group stage, if Ghana Blackstars qualifies to the knockout stage whether as 2nd in Group B or one of the lucky 3rd placed teams, the 27 man squad and their technical team will get $30,000 each as qualification bonus.
