Former Black Stars goalkeeper Fatau Dauda has reportedly Ghana Premier League leaders Asante Kotoko on a free transfer.
The club had made known their intention to sign a new goalkeeper following the departure of Razak Abalora and serious injury to young goalkeeper Abdul Rafiu Yakubu.
Fatau is said to have agreed a deal with Kotoko, with the announcement by the club imminent.
The goalkeeper has been without a club since October 2021 when he parted ways with Legon Cities and has featured regularly as a pundit on GTV during the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.
Dauda for now has been brought in to assist first choice Ibrahim Danland and Kwame Baah who is the club’s second-choice goalkeeper. However, expect the experienced shot-stopper to try and become number one.
He was at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, playing two games after an impressive showing in the 2013 Afcon where Black Stars reached the semi-finals.
