On the second day of the Occupy Julorbi House protest, Ghanaian police prevented demonstrators from entering Jubilee House.

A march to the Jubilee House by hundreds of protesters who had assembled at the 37 lorry station has been stopped in its tracks.

Close to the 37 Military Hospital, protesters ran into a police barrier. The cops had SWAT gear and trucks with armor.

In reaction, protesters sat down in the middle of the street, essentially occupying the space as they awaited a solution.

On September 21, the first day of the “Occupy Julorbi House” protest, the police used various methods to suppress it. At numerous police stations across the city, a number of demonstrators were taken into custody. However, the next day saw the liberation of all 49 prisoners.

The “Democracy Hub” pressure group staged the three-day “Occupy Julorbi House” demonstration in an effort to persuade the President and members of the Economic Management Team to solve economic mismanagement and corruption concerns in the government.
