One of the crushed contenders of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ashanti Region, Robert Asare Bediako, has said he paid GH¢1,000 to each delegate on the final voting day.
The previous Asokwa Chairman who challenged the Ashanti Regional Chairmanship position revealed that he would have won the political decision yet his nearby competitors were the most noteworthy bidders.
He told Kumasi-based Akoma FM that “whiles I was paying each agent GH¢1,000, I figured I would win yet some paid more than me so the representatives additionally surrendered to the most elevated bidder and it’s exceptionally stressing the pattern of adaptation in our body legislative issues.”

The occupant Ashanti Regional Chairman of the NPP, Bernard Antwi Boasiako, famously known as Chairman Wontumi, has been reappointed to serve another term.
He beat his primary opponent Odeneho Kwaku Appiah to hold his situation.
He beat his adversary by more than 100 votes, surveying 464 votes to Odeneho Kwaku Appiah’s 306 votes.
This is the third time straight getting the seat as Regional Chairman.
