Prince David Osei, a well-known Ghanaian actor, has come under scrutiny from Twitter users after he vowed to organize the nation’s young in December to launch a protest against the government in response to worsening economic conditions.

The actor claimed in an Instagram post on October 10 that Ghanaians deserved better but were suffering from severe economic strain.

He claimed that despite President Akufo-admission Addo’s that there is a worldwide crisis and hardship, he and his cabinet are determined to impose unfavorable suffering on Ghanaians.

According to Prince David Osei, he gave the Akufo-Addo government enough time to turn around the country’s fortunes, but they have fallen short of expectations, which, in his opinion, has stopped the youth from grinning.

Regardless of political affiliation, he threatened to organize the youth to hold a protest against the administration if nothing changes by December.

“Mister President! Mr. President, with all due respect, why are you sleeping with Ghanaians? Mr. President, this is not acceptable. We recognize there are worldwide issues and difficulties, but we deserve better. Sure, we do!

But it appears that you and your ministers are determined to subject the populace to unfavorable suffering. I think I was mistaken in deciding to give you and your government the benefit of the doubt,” he exclaimed.

The youth of this country are not grinning despite the rain; we are still perspiring. We will mobilize the country’s youth and take to the streets if nothing changes by the end of the year. It doesn’t matter what party you belong to—NPP, NDC, CQQ, PNC, whatever—because we are all in this together.

“May God bless our motherland,” We desire an improvement in our standard of living. The conclusion of Prince David Osei’s post read, “Your legacy is on the line, Sir!! @nakufoaddo, so if you have to fire certain people, do it without fear or favor.

But he has come under fire from certain Twitter users, mostly because of his support for the New Patriotic Party ahead of the 2020 elections and his campaign for the party, as well as his retort on the #FixTheCountry movement.
