Osei Kyei Mensah-Bonsu, the majority leader in parliament, reprimanded Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko for reportedly making remarks about him recently.
He claimed that Mr. Otchere-Darko, a relative of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, accuses him of being responsible for the call for the dismissal of Ken Ofori-Atta, the finance minister.

The representative for Suame claims that Mr. Otchere-Darko has falsely accused him of being the brains behind some NPP MPs who have demanded the dismissal of Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta.
“We suddenly hear Gabby Otchere-Darko accuse me of starting the incident on his Asaase Radio, but why? What benefit would that have for me?” He responded.
The majority leader questioned the cousin of the finance minister’s authority to make such accusations against him in an interview with Kumasi-based Sompa Radio.
“While you are committed to integrating, there are those who would prefer to bring about fragmentation. But this has now given rise to new feelings of rage. Who does that Gabby Otchere-Darko believe he is? When we talk about the government itself, what is your locus standi to say that I am an instigator? I serve Akufo-Addo, the party, and the government.” the questioning majority leader.
