A call for Investigation and Prosecution On Financial Loss To The State

A CALL FOR INVESTIGATION AND PROSECUTION FOR WOEFULLY CAUSING FINANCIAL LOSS TO THE STATE BY THE MILITARY AND LEKMA

Teshie Concerns Citizen Association (TCCA) has made known that the military has constructed illegal and unlawful fence walls at the Teshie military barracks. The said fence walls have been extended to the demo and it’s environs and the bush road and it’s enclaves, all in the Teshie community.

The chairman of the TCCA (Mr. Seth Tagoe) made it clear a financial loss will befallen on the state if the said walls won’t be demolished, this unlawful and criminal activities must be investigated and those who are found guilty must be prosecuted. He added.

During an exclusive interview on Radio Ranger, Mr. Seth Tagoe stated that the Teshie Concern Citizen Association sent a letter to the Special Prosecutor in the Greater Accra region on 8th March,2022 as an official complaint against the military and the Assembly (LEKMA) and a reminder on 24th May, 2022 of their unlawful and illegal activities at Demo and the Bush Road yet there is no response and the Association is still waiting on the response of the special prosecutor.

“The military and the assembly of LEKMA has failed to follow the rules and regulations of the ministry of roads and highways and the Departments of Urban Roads. The military and the LEKMA acted uncultured, indiscipline,unlawful and unprofessionally, for their action have caused the state financially, which is avoidable.”

He finally stated that their unlawful and unprofessional act will also affect socio -economic developments, for we the people of Teshie in particular and the nation in general.

TCCA is expecting urgent action in this matter of all the officials of both military and the assembly (LEKMA) whose negligent of duty, illegal, unlawful and unprofessional act has caused, the financial loss to the state.
