Ghana captain Andre Ayew has apologised for his role in the Black Stars poor Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON 2023) campaign.
The four-time African champions suffered a humiliating first round exit after picking just two points in three matches

In a message to Ghanaians on Tuesday, Andre Ayew also took responsibility for the team’s failure.
Failure in Côte d’Ivoire means Ghana have suffered consecutive group stage exits at the AFCON.
Under Andre Ayew’s captaincy, the Black Stars have seen their worst AFCON performance since 2006.
