According to the SEC, at least 75% of the 369 BF Borger clients whose public filings included the firm’s audits and evaluations did not adhere to accounting rules.

This is by no means the first incident in which BF Borgers or its founder have encountered difficulties.

Colorado officials have been taking disciplinary action against Borgers since 2019.

In its peer review program, the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants dismissed BF Borgers last year after discovering that the company’s performance was “so substantially poor that education and remedial, corrective activities are not adequate.”

Late in March, Trump Media declared that BF Borgers would serve as its public accountant.
