Turkey are going to go for it now aren’t they. But Italy can counter, and the Italians love defending. Chiellini and Bonucci are warriors at the back.

Italy are absolutely flying now, Ciro Immobile’s been waiting for that all game and he’s worked his socks off for it. The keeper does really well but Immobile has done exactly what he’s done for his whole career, poached and just stuck that away. He’s put his team 2-0 up in this tie, absolutely brilliant.

It must be frustrating for Turkey coach Senol Gunes. Twice he’s made attacking changes and twice his side has conceded not long after those changes.

In truth, they have never looked like getting something from this game. It was always going to be about whether Italy could take their chances. And they have now.

Looks like game over. Immobile tucks the ball in. He’s scored lots of goals in this stadium for Lazio.

It’s good play down the right hand side, the ball chipped into the far post from Berrardi. Spinazzola shapes to shoot with his left foot, hits the volley, and it’s a smart save and Immobile reads the play. Hes on the move already and he’s not going to miss that. He pokes the ball into the far corner.

Italy have a deserved second!

Domenico Berardi is involved again as he plays the ball across the box for Leonardo Spinazzola, whose shot is a good one and blocked by Ugurcan Cakir but Ciro Immobile pounces on the loose ball.

Italy are going to start Euro 2020 with a win, as well as extend their unbeaten run to 28 matches.

Turkey make a couple of changes as they look to get back into this. Kaan Ayhan and Irfan Can Kahveci are on for Ozan Tufan and Okay Yokuslu.

Italy are trying to work as many attacks as they can down the right. Turkey are really struggling to deal with the threat that side of the pitch and Italy just keep coming at them.

Neil Leverett: Spinazzola has been superb for Roma all term, and in his back yard tonight, the eyes of the world are applauding.

Nathan Marzan: The nerves are gone now and you get the feeling Italy will go on and score more after that first goal.

Italy have got Turkey on the ropes now – really good signs that Italy are going to go and get that second goal.

The game has really opened up now with Italy taking the lead. Poor play form Tufan in the middle of the park, gives the ball to Immobile who pops the ball out to the left hand side. Insigne is always trying to get back on his right foot. Got to say it’s a terrific block from Demiral.

Ugurcan Cakir gets down to push behind a Manuel Locatelli shot as Italy come forward again. Relentless stuff from Roberto Mancini’s side at the moment.

Italy have their tails up as they charge forward looking for a second and Lorenzo Insigne’s shot is deflected over for a corner.

A second goal and there would surely be no way back for Turkey and it would be an eighth win in a row for Italy.
