Shaffy Bello discusses her 25-year marriage breakup in an open forum.

Shaffy said, “I got to a point where I wanted more.”I would frequently fly back and forth, but I soon realized that if I truly want this, sacrifices were necessary. He was there in the USA, and the distance didn’t help, rather than the marriage itself being sacrificed.

The actress acknowledged that managing the situation became more and more difficult, ultimately forcing her to make the agonizing choice to dissolve the marriage.

It’s interesting to note that Bello has previously discussed relationships. On an episode of “Mercy’s Menu,” Shaffy discussed her reservations about traditional marriage with fellow actor Mercy Johnson. Instead, she emphasized the value of friendship and finding a compatible partner with whom to start a family, though not always inside the bounds of marriage.

“I am a one-man kind of woman, and I believe there are a lot of women here to fill a home,” Shaffy said.”For this reason, I only meet or go on dates with women. At the end of the day, I want to settle down with someone; I don’t want to be 55 and then go out or have a birthday party and then return home and be by myself. Although I may not want to get married, I desire a companion.
