In connection with an alleged robbery at a lawyer‘s home in Accra’s Airport Residential neighborhood, eight people have been detained and brought before an Accra Circuit Court.
According to Thechronicle.com.gh, the lawyer’s closet at her Premier Place home was where the US$114,500, £800, GH50,000, and €3,000 were stolen from.
Lawyer Hamida Nuhu was reportedly held at gunpoint during the robbery and taken away with an extra GH2,000.00, a US$800, and other pieces of jewelry.
The accused persons, identified as Richmond Tetteh (alias Metiti), Mawuli Heletsi (aka Mosquito), David Kokvina, Joseph Nii Amu Offei (alias Gaza, aka Hero), Malik Alhassan (alias Goliath @ Ababe), Dennis Adu Ninson (alias NAM1), Mustapha Mumuni (alias Starboy), and Zuberu Mustapha (alias One Corner), have all been charged with conspiracy to commit a crime and robbery.
Richmond Tetteh (also known as Metiti), one of the accused people, was caught while displaying some of the stolen goods.
It was revealed throughout the trial that two of the defendants, Mustapha Mumuni and Zuberu Mustapha, reportedly provided another defendant, Malik Alhassan, an unknown chemical to boost his energy level before the heist.
