Afia Schwarzenegger has been hauled back into court for violating the terms of her release in an earlier contempt conviction.

After Chairman Wontumi filed a defamation action against the comedienne, she allegedly failed to appear in court despite multiple warnings.

Matters worsened, and she was sentenced to 10 days in prison for contempt of court, but she went into hiding.

She then handed herself in, delivered an apology with remorse, and her lawyer requested that his client be fined instead.

In order to get the 10-day prison sentence overturned, the socialite was compelled to sign a 36-month bond of good behavior, as well as a GHC60,000 fine.

Afia was also instructed not to remark on the case on any platform while the bond is pending, with the court instructing that any violation of these directions will result in her arrest.

Chairman Wontumi, after extensively examining events on social media, has concluded that the socialite violated all of the court’s norms.
