The media and other interested parties volunteered to help the young man get back on his feet when the story first broke several years ago, but nothing ever came of it.
In his 2015 American war movie “Beasts of No Nation,” Cary Joji Fukunaga, who also served as the film’s cinematographer, tells the story of a young kid who enlists in the military as his nation endures a terrible conflict.
The movie, which was filmed in Ghana and stars Idris Elba, Abraham Attah, Ama K. Abebrese, Grace Nortey, David Dontoh, and Opeyemi Fagbohungbe, is based on Uzodinma Iweala’s 2005 novel of the same name, which was titled after a Fela Kuti album.
